Mahatma Hansraj Birth Anniversary Celebrations

The birth anniversary of Mahatma Hansraj was celebrated at DAVCPSCN. A Hawan was performed on this auspicious occasion.  The Staff members and students celebrated this day in a  Special Assembly  dedicated to the teachings and ideals.

The students highlighted his philosophy and talked about his works for the upliftment of society.  The students sang devotional songs, DAV Anthem and recited poems highlighting the  vision of the great scholar for the society, which included widow remarriage, abolition of Sati and child marriages. 

Mahatma Hansraj ji was born on April 19, 1864 in Hoshiarpur district and was a  great follower of  Swami Dayanand , the founder of Dayanand Anglo–Vedic school system. He was a great  educationist and a reformer, truly an epitone  of excellence.
